What should I do to prepare for my first appointment?
Before your first appointment, please fill out the New Client Intake Form- Orthopedic/Sport Injuries.
We recommend wearing clothing that allows easy access to treatment areas, such as shorts for hip or knee treatments or a sports bra for shoulder and upper back treatments.
For the best results with SoftWave therapy, please shave the treatment area, like the armpit, for shoulder treatment. It ensures direct contact and better energy penetration into the tissue, maximizing the treatment benefits.
How do you give the Softwave Treatments?
First, the gel is applied to the area that needs treatment. Then, the therapist uses an applicator that produces deep acoustic wave pulses with precision, slowly moving around the injured area to target all the painful points. The applicator stays in these painful areas until the pulses reduce the pain, ensuring a thorough and effective treatment.
These sound waves penetrate deep into damaged tissue, resulting in increased mobility and significantly reduced inflammation and pain in just 1- 3 treatments. Additionally, electrohydraulic shockwaves have proven to have a 300% increase in small, medium, and large blood vessels within 12 weeks following the first treatment.
How soon can I expect to see improvements? How many sessions do I need?
SoftWave is an advanced tissue regenerative technology that offers benefits comparable to stem cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections but in a more affordable, noninvasive way. With SoftWave, clients can experience significant relief from pain and improvement in mobility, often noticing results after just 1–3 sessions. To achieve lasting results, however, 4–8 sessions are generally recommended to address both the symptoms and underlying causes. Problems like foot or knee pain may originate from the lower back or hip, or vice versa, so treating interconnected areas is essential for full recovery.
The full benefits of SoftWave continue to develop after the sessions are complete, with peak results appearing around 12 weeks later—about the time it takes for tissues to fully regenerate.
As we age, daily inflammation, misalignment, and wear from activity accumulate, making regular maintenance essential for lasting results. Periodic sessions—ranging from once every 3–4 months—help keep stem cells active, maintain alignment, and support long-term improvements in function and quality of life.
What is the recovery process after undergoing treatment with the Softwave treatments?
SoftWave Tissue Regenerative Technology stimulates the body’s natural inflammatory response, which is crucial for healing. After treatment, avoid using anti-inflammatory medications (such as aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, and Naprosyn). If you experience discomfort, you may apply mild heat as needed. Pain should subside within 24 hours. You can use over-the-counter non-anti-inflammatory pain medications like Tylenol if necessary and suitable for you. Additionally, reduce activity for 48 hours post-treatment and stay well-hydrated.
